I feel like I’m becoming a bit of an expert on self-care. What I used to think of as ‘laziness.’ Here are some of my favourite things to do to help myself through a difficult week. I’d love to hear yours!

  1. Go to bed at 9pm.
  2. Go to bed at 8pm with Netflix.
  3. Put my pyjamas on at 4pm on weekendsSelf Care.
  4. Drink less overall, but have one night a week getting pleasantly sozzled, having completed steps 2 and 3.
  5. Have a bath.
  6. Cancel an engagement.
  7. Say ‘no’ to things.
  8. Buy stationery.
  9. Visit the GP if necessary.
  10. Take the tablets when necessary.
  11. Eat delicious, healthy food.
  12. Eat delicious, unhealthy food.
  13. Do a Yoga with Adriene on YouTube.
  14. Read a book from my childhood.
  15. Doodle while listening to a CD (remember them?).
  16. Phone/Skype/write to a friend.
  17. Find where the cat is. Sit with him.
